Spartacus III The Pharaoh Blade Spartacus Chronicles Book 3 edition by Robert Southworth Literature Fiction eBooks

In 68BC Spartacus is asked to help find the dagger that belonged to the Pharaoh Thutmose back in 1484BC. The dagger was given to Thutomse by Hatshupset who ruled Egypt before him. Thutmose won many battles in his fifty year reign and the dagger was thought to be help anyone who owned it to win battles and conquer other lands. Pompey wants the dagger as does Crassus.
Adrianicus as an agent of Pompey hires Spartacus and his friends to find the dagger which is supposed to be in the city state of Commagene with King Antiochus. Along the way there are battles to be fought and treacherous and evil people trying to stop them. This book is fast moving and I totoally enjoyed it. I have enjoyed all three of his Spartacus books. Most Excellent!!!

Spartacus III The Pharaoh Blade Spartacus Chronicles Book 3 edition by Robert Southworth Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

The third and final volume of Robert Southworth's Spartacus series finds the gang involved in an adventure to retrieve an Egyptian artifact, a dagger that is reputed to grant victory to whoever has it and there are many who seek it. Among the seekers are the power brokers of Rome and inveterate foes, Pompey and Crassus. Spartacus is tabbed to lead a coalition army of Commagene, Spartan, Parthian and a smattering of Armenians under Tigranes the younger. Arrayed against them is the might of Mithridates and Tigranes the elder. The battle scenes are well done and are filled with imaginative tactics, heroic struggles and tragic deaths. The plot takes many turns as the duplicitousness of certain characters plays out over the course of the book. All in all The Pharaoh's Blade is an interesting look at that period in history when Mithridates, Tigranes and The Parthians all vied for control of the region and had Rome's attention; so much so that Crassus arrives in Parthia with intent to conquer but an ignominious end is what he finds. Spartacus, Cassian, Plinius and the others in their search for a peaceful place to live must first survive the tumult. 4 stars
A well paced and interesting read, full of intrigue and action, suited to those who enjoy historical fiction. The Pharoh's blade is a satisfying ending to the sparticus trilogy
Just finished the trilogy. The third was as exciting and well written as the first two. The Spartacus Chronicles has given you a fan here in the States. Looking forward to future novels Mr. Southworth.
Fans of Spartacus will love this book the third in a series from author Southworth. I've read all three and they were all good books. No complaints. Good character development and well defined battle scenes that don't bog down. Thanks for a fun time!
Yet another cracking read from this author.
Love the action scenes, sad it's the last in the series, hope one day he will bring Spatacus and co. out of retirement.
For the price the book is a real bargain, recommended to all fans of history and action.
Spartacus III The Pharaoh's Blade was an entertaining alternate tale of the Legendary Spartacus. Robert Southworth is a writer with impressive storytelling skills. I look forward to reading any future Roman novel's by Southworth. Well done Mr. Southworth. I also loved the addition of space breaks. )
